Santiago Borja is a Latin Grammy–nominated recording engineer and producer whose work blends technical excellence with artistic depth. He earned his degree in Musical Production and Engineering from Universidad San Francisco de Quito, with a minor in Contemporary Music, and is a graduate of Abbey Road Institute Miami.
Career path
In 2014, Santiago founded Loop Studio in Quito, Ecuador, followed by Sound Zoo in 2017, a project dedicated to capturing real performances and authentic artistic identity. These spaces allowed him to grow not only as an engineer, but as a creative partner for artists.
Over the years, he has worked with a wide range of artists including Norick, Da Pawn, 3Vol, Dulce y Agraz, Daniel Páez, Telebit, Árbol de Ojos, Felipe Moon, Lily Blue, Jonah Eh, Samantha Quénedit, and Darío Cousteau.

Since moving to Miami, Santiago has collaborated with artists such as Marc Anthony, Alessia Cara, Christian Nodal, Manuel Turizo, Will Smith, Joaquina, Yami Safdie, Camilo, Natalia Lafourcade, Juanes, Annasofía, Beéle, Piso 21.His recent release credits include Marc Anthony (Que Me Quiera Má, Dios Me Oyó, Volver), Christian Nodal (A Solas con la Botella), and The Rasmus (Say It Again).
